When it comes to decorative printing of high-quality workpieces — such as metallic orchestras or refined surfaces — the variety of component shapes represents a particular challenge. Conventional holding devices are usually individually manufactured and tailored to a specific component. This increases equipment costs, causes downtime when changing and makes series production more expensive.

Matrix solution

With the pneumatically operated X-PAD A flexible workpiece holder is used, which adapts variably to different shapes. In this way, various variants of a product can be automatically positioned and held stable for pad printing — without mechanical modifications. The system works reliably even in multi-shift operation and significantly reduces the need for equipment.
